What about kids or the elderly?
Malikha Lodge is suitable for most people, and offers a variety of excursions and interests for the active and not so active. Owing to our very remote location, we will unfortunately not be able to cater for children below the age of 12 and the very elderly or frail, or those with disabilities/walking difficulties.

However, for bookings of the entire lodge we will accept children aged 06 and above.

When is the best time to visit?
Malikha Lodge will be open each year from October to April inclusive. Guests have the choice of three distinct seasons to choose from.

October and November is harvest time, with brilliant green colours and perfect visibility. Nights are extremely pleasant at this time of year, allowing you to sit comfortably outdoors well into the late evening.

December to February brings beautiful crisp spring like days and cold starry nights. This is the best time for viewing the snowcapped mountains that surround Putao, as well as cozy evenings in the main lodge around the fire.

March and April see a return to warmer days and nights and the first occasional showers before the monsoon hits in late May.
