Land Itinerary

Arrive Reykjavik and, after immigration and customs clearance, proceed outside to the bus bay to board FlyBus Shuttle Bus transfer to the hotel in Reykavjik city.

Reykjavik is an ideal city for a stylish Scandinavian getaway. The numerous art galleries and museums along with superb restaurants and cafés are perfect to discover the city's unique culture and cuisine.

There are abundant choices of optional tours available and it is easy to visit some of the well-known nature attraction along the south and west coast that Iceland is famous for, such as the Golden Circle, the Blue Lagoon, glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls and more.

Overnight at 4* Hotel Reykjavik Natura, or similar, in Reykjavik.

After breakfast, take a morning flight to Akureyri, the Capital of the North and transfer to your hotel by the Lake Myvatn.

Visit the Lake Myvatn, the country's 4th largest natural lake. It abounds in lake char and is netted by the farmers during summer and ice fishing is practised in winter. The lake area is known worldwide for its exceptionally many breeding duck species (15-16) and the abundance of other avifauna. The lake's surroundings show such variety in landscapes and amazing geological formations.

The Northern Lights might dance around tonight, be sure to take a walk before going to sleep!

Today you can enjoy various optional leisure activities in the area (booked locally; see the options provided).

It is ideal to end the evening with a tour to Myvatn Nature Baths for a late night relaxation in the lagoon. And, with luck, the northern lights will make an appearance!

Visit the town of Akureyri, North Iceland's trade and cultural center, beautifully resting in a scenic fjord.

Akureyri, the largest town outside Greater Reykjavik, is situated on the inner section of Eyjafjörður fjord. It is an old trading station and also an important fishing town and still gets heated with geothermal water from Laugaland in Eyjafjörður.

On the hill above the old town is Lystigarðurinn, a park and botanical garden with specimens of almost all native Icelandic plants as well as hundreds of foreign ones. Just north of the town is a skiing resort on Mount Hlidarfjall, which is among the best in the country.

Late afternoon, take a domestic flight back to Reykjavik and check in at your hotel.
